Taelor Clay

Taelor is a professional in the realms of film, marketing, and communications, boasting a career spanning over a decade. She claimed her earliest accolade. the Adele V. Holden New Voices storytelling award, from her alma mater, Morgan State University, in 2013.

Taelor earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology, with a minor in Screenwriting, which she obtained in 2015. Determined to manifest her creative aptitude, in 2017, Taelor earned a Master of Fine Arts in Writing and Producing for TV from the TV Writers Studio led by the late, great Norman Steinberg. Following her degree, Taelor took a role at Baltimore Youth Film Arts—a storytelling and media initiative affiliated with Johns Hopkins University, catering to Baltimore City residents aged 16 to 29. In this capacity, she orchestrated the coordination of program staff, fellows, and content, crafting innovative messaging strategies that boosted the program's enrollment by over 125%.

Taelor's career journey has long-included parallel pursuits, as she engaged in freelance ventures. This encompassed curating dynamic social media strategies, spearheading promotional campaigns, writing and evaluating screenplays, fostering cross-departmental communications for international conferences, and nurturing personal creative projects. A pivotal turning point in her career transpired in April 2021, when Taelor transitioned into a full-time freelance marketing and communications consultant. Throughout this phase, she collaborated with illustrious clientele, including the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation, conEdison New York, HBO, and Game Rant, crafting innovative campaigns that resonated with diverse audiences.

Now, poised to return to her roots of contributing her expertise to a higher cause, Taelor assumes the role of Communications Manager at NMAC. In this capacity, she lends her skills to amplify vital messaging encompassing all programs and initiatives championed by NMAC in the relentless fight against HIV and AIDS.
