Mark Priest is an accomplished finance and operations executive with more than 25 years of leadership experience spanning education, non-profit, and corporate sectors. He now serves as Canon for Finance and Operations at the Episcopal Diocese of Southern Ohio, where he oversees the Diocese’s financial strategy, operations, and administrative systems in support of its mission and local congregations.

Before joining the Diocese, Mark served asVice President of Finance and Operations at Springer School and Center in Cincinnati, where he led finance, HR, facilities, and IT for a $6M organization. Earlier in his career, Mark held executive roles including CFO at Christ Church Cathedral, where he managed financial strategy and operations for a $100M endowment, and Director of Operations at Paycor, where he led a 75-person team and significantly improved service efficiency. His background also includes financial management positions at Convergys, GE Capital, and Ent & Imler CPA Group.

Across his career, Mark successfully led major capital and endowment planning initiatives, implemented efficient financial and operational systems, and guided organizations through complex construction and acquisition projects. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Indiana University, Bloomington, and serves on the national Episcopal leadership board (CEEP). He is recognized for his strategic financial insight, operational innovation, and collaborative leadership across diverse organizational environments.
