

Stephanie Nathan

United Way Fresno and Madera Counties

Stephanie Nathan, MPH, is President and CEO of United Way of Fresno and Madera Counties, appointed in October 2024. She brings 15 years of experience across public health, local government, academia, and community leadership.
Before joining United Way, Stephanie served as Assistant Director for Madera County Public Health, overseeing non-clinical programs including WIC, health education, and quality improvement. Her work focused on strategic planning, community health improvement, equity-focused initiatives, accreditation, performance management, grant administration, policy development, and systems change.
Stephanie is also an adjunct lecturer at the University of California, Merced, where she has taught in the undergraduate public health program since 2017. She is deeply involved in the Madera community, including service as President of the Madera NAACP, a Community Development Block Grant Commissioner for the City of Madera, and a school site council member. She holds degrees from UC Riverside and Loma Linda University.
