Dion Wade
Chief Financial Officer
Center for Child Protection

Dion’s background is in nonprofit finance, with experience across budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and operational strategy. He is drawn to building systems that make financial information useful in real time, helping leaders make grounded decisions in complex environments. Before joining the Center, he held financial leadership roles at BrightSpark Early Learning Services and Seattle University, where he strengthened budgeting processes, improved financial visibility, and supported long-term planning during periods of growth and transition. His approach is steady, collaborative, and rooted in stewardship.
Dion is excited to return to Texas and become part of the Austin community. Outside of work, he enjoys staying active, spending time outdoors with his dogs, riding horses when he can, playing pickup basketball, and working with his hands. He is motivated by work that creates tangible impact where strong systems and human connection support children, families, and the broader community.
